I ordered the 5" length and they are great. I'm 5' 6" and about 150 lbs and got the medium. They fit great and are comfortable. They ride up a tiny bit while working out, but really not bad at all. Love the side pockets. They come up to my true waist, over my belly button, so they're perfect to wear with a crop top. Will be getting more to work out in!I recently ordered a 5" inseam pair of shorts, my 3rd pair of 5". I have 4 of the 9" shorts and 5 full length and I live in them. LIVE. IN. THEM. Stitching totally holds up, the pockets are so handy. The fabric is thick enough to be warm in the cold and cool in the heat. I am 5'4" and 175lbs and I wear the XL. I wear the shorts under dresses to prevent chaffing and also just wear them by themselves, tho if they get hiked up too high there is a hint of camel toe from the seam. The triangle stitching further down prevents a full frontal wedgie but the shape is there if you're a lil thick like me.Of the three pairs of 5" inseam shorts I have purchased, they are all a little different. The 9" and full leg are the same. The first pair of 5" I ordered in black and they're a different brand & material and have a small extra pocket on the waistline. I love these shorts, and usually wear them when I swim bc the material is a bit closer to a swimsuit material and I prefer to swim in shorts. The second pair of 5" inseam shorts were red and they had extra zipper pockets on the side pockets and a chord of elastic running horizontal about halfway down the waist. This band is very annoying and uncomfortable. I barely ever wear this pair. The material is like the 9" and full length pants but feels a bit thinner however, they are the same brand. The third pair of 5" inseam shorts I just ordered in May 22 are green and they're exactly like the 9" and full leg. Perfect. Glad they finally figured that out.I’ve bought three different colors of the same design/length, and they are NOT the same. The black pair is amazing, and is my favorite pair of biker shorts I have. They fit perfectly, and the waist part is thicker and has nice compression. The white pair is somewhat see-through and doesn’t fit as well, getting kinda baggy in the crotch. And the light blue pair is a very thin material that fits horribly. I wouldn’t recommend any of the options except the black, because the rest seem to all be different materials that aren’t very good. The black pair = 5 StarsThe white pair = 3 StarsThe light blue pair = 1 StarIn love with these shorts. They actually stay in place, no rolling down when I bend over; but at the same time they aren't too tight. I have 34" waist and 45" hips and the XL fit me like a glove. They are truly high-waisted. The material is breathable and non-see through. I ordered the 6" inseam version and they are a good length for me- I'm 5'4" and the shorts go down just after the middle of my thighs. The pockets are also large enough to hold my samsung galaxy s20 and I don't have to worry about it falling out. (A long time ago I originally ordered these shorts in the same size, just with a 5" inseam, and they have lasted me years!)These Ododos brand bottoms continue to be my favorite for years now. I have them in short shorts, medium-lengthen shorts, capris, and pants in multiple colors and they hold up for a very long time, even with the frequent use and washes/drying I give them. They have excellent stretch, are flattering in that they smooth my figure, and are very comfortable and not restrictive at all. I use these for casual wear and for under dresses. They are appropriately thick: not too bulky or hot, but plenty thick to wear by itself, to hold up over time, and to serve as shapewear. I highly recommend the ODODOS brand. These are super soft and comfortable. Love the length also not too short. They are not see through. Definitely recommend!I first bought a small 5 inch "Jq Black" to try and liked it, so I bought the "2pack Black/Sd Charcoal" also in small 5 inch. The charcoal fits just like the jacquard back, but the solid black one is almost a whole inch smaller, so it fits more like an x-small instead. See my photo. Unfortunately, I already cut off the tag so I'll keep it.Aside from the inconsistent sizing, the shorts themselves are a great fit and have moderate compression. I only wear these to workout, not lounging. They don't roll up on my thighs. Waistbands stay put so I don't have to keep pulling it up. The dark colors are squat proof.Way shorter than on the picture! It is what I was looking for....a bit expensive though!
